Gary Kearney opened his first law office in the San Gabriel Valley in 1977 and was an active member of the Pasadena legal community for more than 46 years, most recently as a partner is the family law firm of Kearney|Baker. He has been a Certified Family Law Specialist since 1985. He specialized in complex family law issues and was counsel in more than 65 appeals and 17 writs, most notably County of Los Angeles vs. Pattinson, Herbst vs. Swan, Laudeman vs. Laudeman, Asfaw vs. Wodlerhan, and Starr vs. Starr. Mr. Kearney has lectured on family law issues and is presently working on an article on the enforcement of foreign-country child support orders under California law.

Organizations & Achievements
Mr. Kearney has been a member of the Pasadena and Los Angeles County Family Law Section throughout his practice. He was a Director of the California Association of Family Law Specialists 1992 to 2002 and its President in 1999. He was the Chairman of the Pasadena Bar Association’s Family Law Section from 2000 until 2009. He has been a member of the American Bar Association throughout his practice. He has acted as Judge Pro Tempore and Special Master in various family law cases.Mr. Kearney is available for Family Law matters throughout California.
